Bristol Prom Project

All School leavers should have the opportunity to attend their prom with confidence and in style. School leavers from homes where money is short should have no less right to the experience than anyone else.

Bristol Prom Project @ Fashionate Fashion Show

The students from the NLarge Photography Group at Knowle West Media Centre have been busy photographing the prom project wardrobe. The photo's are beutiful and will be up on the website very soon.

We had a busy day at the media centre on the 24th of February and the photographers were perhaps the busiest and most dedicated workers of the day. Many Thanks.

A selection of our Dress Collection will be hitting the Catwalk at the Knowle West Media Centre on the 16th of April.

The girls from Fashionate have also been helping us prepare and catalouge some of our dresses.

Our very own Mouse to Minx Fairy Godmother will be helping the girls put on a fantastic show, and of course, we will be enjoying seeing some of the lovely dresses that have been donated hit the spotlight.

The girls have already impressed us with their hard work and their idea's. We are looking forward to the event. Tickets are free - contact the media centre for more information.

Your old bridesmaids, cocktail, formal, gowns and party dresses could really make Prom night dreams come true for school leavers in the UK who may otherwise miss out.
The School Leavers prom has become big business over the last few years and the peer pressure and expectations around this event are high. Many families are struggling in the current climate to meet some of the expenses associated with the school prom.

Children from low income families are simply missing out or are unable to feel as special as they should because they don’t have access to the same goods and services that the majority of their peers do. Our aim is to enable students from low income families to attend their school proms in style and with confidence.

We feel that no student should be excluded because of their financial circumstances.

Fashionate Presentation - Friday 16 April

A three hour extravaganza of clothes, music, customising workshops and more, culminating in a fantastic fashion show of both local and high street fashion. Tickets are free for this event but must be reserved in advance or collected from the front desk at KWMC.
